Daniel C., a member of the Peace Naturals™ team sat down with one of our Client Care Team members, Laura M., for an inside look at the team’s day-to-day life at work. We wanted to find out what drives them, what they’re most passionate about, and how the Client Care Team goes above and beyond to help our clients on a daily basis. See below for the full interview. Responses have been condensed and edited for clarity.

Q&A with Laura M.

Daniel:

So, let’s jump in Laura. Tell us a little bit about yourself, how you became a Client Care Team member, and how long you’ve been with Peace Naturals™?

Laura:

I’ve been at Peace Naturals Project® since August,2014 as one of the earliest members of the Client Care team.  A friend of mine recommended that I look into working for the company, and here we are six years later!

Daniel:

That’s amazing! What was the main draw that encouraged you to join the company?

Laura:

I love talking to people and was very interested in educating others about the medical use of cannabis. At the time, there was still a lot of stigma around it, so this was an opportunity to help guide people through using cannabis for medical purposes.

Daniel:

The Client Care team is known for its passion for helping people. What drives you to help improve people’s lives every day?

Laura:

I love sharing the knowledge and experience that I’ve gained by speaking with our clients over the years. Out of hundreds of client experiences to draw from, I have learned that we all want the same thing, and that’s to live a better life. Many of our clients are struggling with various health issues and are looking for new ways to approach wellness.  It’s deeply rewarding to help guide and support existing clients, or educating them about trying cannabis for the first time.

Daniel:

That’s a wonderful mentality to have! Love it. So, what excites you about your job as a Client Care Team member?

Laura:

I love getting a call from someone who is brand new to cannabis and helping to educate them about trying cannabis for the first time. So many people are used to hearing, “Here’s a pill, and take it this way”. The challenge we face is that we can’t tell them what will work best with their unique needs, but we can educate them about cannabis and encourage them to consult with their healthcare practitioner to find what works for them.

Daniel:

So, you want people to think about it as a natural product and something that can help them in a unique way?

Laura:

Exactly. It’s a natural product, and, with the advice from your healthcare practitioner, you can  decide what is right for you. It’s really neat to feel as though we are a part of some of the amazing and positive changes in people’s lives. I love hearing stories and feedback from clients, and at the end of every call I always remind them, “If you don’t mind, let us know how it goes, give us a call back, let us know how you’re doing. If you want to talk through anything again, we’re here to listen.”

Daniel:

What are some of the most common questions you get from our clients?

Laura:

Mostly our clients want to know what specific strain is right for them. We help our clients to recognize  that each individual’s needs and experience with cannabis is unique. This helps them understand that trying different strains and being open to new options can be most beneficial in discovering what works best for their needs.

Daniel:

I love that the team is so passionate about the idea of improving people’s lives. Based on that, what can you tell us about the history of Peace Naturals Project® as one of the first medical cannabis licensed producers in Canada?

Laura:

It’s been quite the journey! At the beginning there was a lot of change – after all, our journey began as a start-up company! With the help of our great clients, we were able to get the ball moving and provide them with the best care and products possible. It’s great to be able to say we were the first company to be granted a medical cannabis production license by Health Canada. Over the years, we have only deepened our product knowledge and expertise, and have worked hard to gain the  trust of our clients who rely on us.

 Daniel:

Being a first mover is definitely a bonus for everyone involved. And based on what you’ve told me so far, improving people’s lives is certainly a passion-point for the Client Care Team!

And finally, what do you look forward to each day at Peace Naturals Project®?

Laura:

I think being able to share the knowledge and experiences I’ve gained from supporting our clients through the years, especially with new clients, has made it a win-win for everyone involved. It helps me look forward to coming to work every day.

Daniel:

Amazing. Thank you so much for your time Laura. We appreciate your work and commitment.

Laura:

My pleasure, Daniel. Thank you!
